NEW DEMOSTRATION TEAM 2012 - Thank You to all the students of Morrison Family Karate who were part of our 2011 Demonstration Team, your Dedication and Commitment is inspiring to all Students! We have many new performances planned throughout 2012 to promote Martial Arts and Raise Funds for Local Charities. Our Demonstration team consists of Members from all ranks and ages from Lil' Dragons thru to Adults from White to Black Belts and BBM. If you would like to be part of this very special team for 2012, please see Mr. Morrison.
*** WATCH FOR UPCOMING SEMINARS *** Morrison Family Karate will be offering some Special Training Seminars in the coming months! Seminars are a great opportunity for Students to learn information that is not in your regular training program. Seminars can include instruction in other Martial Arts or various Martial Arts Weapons as well as classes taught by instructors from other schools. All students are encouraged to attend Seminars; they will help you to become a better Martial Artist.
Black Belt Member Program
The BBM Program is an Elite Level program at Morrison Family Karate; it is open to those students who have shown a strong desire and a willingness to commit to the training and time required to be a World Class Black Belt of the Highest Calibre. The Black Belt Member Program is open to Students who have trained to a rank of Purple Belt or higher and have been selected as a Candidate by our Black Belt Staff and Head Instructor. The Black Belt Member Program is not for everyone; but with hard work and commitment to yourself and your goals, you too could earn a Black Belt!
Star Program - Morrison Family Karate Recognizes our Students Acheivements!!
April brought the beginning of our 'Star Program'!! Students were very excited to receive the Stars that recognized their acheivements In and Outside of the Karate School! The Stars come in various colours, each representing a different acomplishment; they are proudly worn on the lapel of the students uniform. Examples are - Yellow Star for Excellent Attendance, Red Star for Excellent Academics, and Black Star for Community Service and Involvement. We have other Stars too, see the Achievement Sheet for details. Congratulations and Thank You for your commitment to being the best you can be!
New Early 2012 SCHEDULE has Been Implemented
The new schedule has been handed out; you will notice that classes are longer, Saturday classes are extended, more BBM classes have been made available AND we now have Friday classes! This is a great change reflecting the growth of our school! Take advantage of the extra classes for catch-up and accelerated learning!
Belt Testing
Our Next Belt Testing will be February 16th, 2012. Belt Tests are a time of Celebration at Morrison Family Karate; students are encouraged to invite friends and family to attend. Please remember that there are no regular classes on testing nights. All students are welcome to come in and watch or practice at the school while the testing is being conducted.
